The Publications Manager will develop and deliver an annual Publications plan, including the development of all League publications, which include but are not limited to Match Programmes for the five competition finals, bi-annual EFL Magazine and annual reviews. In addition, the Publications Manager will support the Content team in the creation of new and innovative content for EFL digital channels, including on matchdays. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements; 1. Educated to Degree Level in Journalism / Media Studies or equivalent. 2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an editorial role within the football industry or local media. 3. An understanding of the EFL, its 72 member clubs and the wider Football Family. 4. The ability to generate ideas, challenge the status quo whilst considering organisational limitations. 5. An in-depth understanding of print, digital and social media. 6. The ability to produce regular, accurate and engaging content to tight deadlines across multiple projects. 7. Excellent interpersonal skills including proven experience of influencing individuals and decision-makers at all levels. 8. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 9. Experience of working with Adobe software and CMS systems would be desirable 10. Proven experience of developing and activating content plans. 11. The ability to create, manage and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. 12. A track record for meeting and exceeding goals within strict timeframes in a pressurised environment. 13. The ability to plan ahead, organise and think practically. 14. Pro-active approach to day-to day-issues.
