What will you be doing?
As the Volunteer Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the delivering of the Liverpool Football Club Foundation`s (LFCF) volunteer programme in Liverpool and internationally.
Through volunteering we want to harness the power and passion of LFC employees, fans and the wider community to help our programme participants. We also want our volunteering programme to be an amazing personal development opportunity for volunteers and to open pathways into employment, including at the Liverpool Football Club Foundation`s.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the embedding of volunteering with volunteers engaged across Foundation activity.
The role requires someone with experience of coordinating a volunteer programme. The role will involve managing our volunteer digital platform and retaining and recruiting volunteers.
You will also need great people skills as you support volunteers and work across Liverpool Football Club Foundation`s and the community.
The specifics of this role will include:
-Support Liverpool Football Club Foundation`s international volunteer and social action programme
-Deliver a volunteer programme that provides a high-quality end to end volunteer journey, onboarding, induction and training.
-Be the main point of contact for volunteers
-Create pathways from volunteering into personal development opportunities, training and employment including at the LFC Foundation
-Work with Liverpool Football Club Foundation`s leads to embed volunteering into programmes and to meet programme KPIS
-Work with Liverpool Football Club Foundation`s fundraising team to ensure volunteer needs are met
-Work in the community to raise awareness of the benefits of volunteering and to drive volunteer recruitment
-Ensure the safeguarding of volunteers and participants is at the forefront of all decisions and Foundation safeguarding policy is adhered to at all times
-Support the Insight and Impacts manager to create reports and data on volunteering.
-Produce high quality reports
-Build volunteering networks
We are looking for a candidate who has experience of working with volunteers, safeguarding knowledge and proven experience of recruiting, and retaining volunteers. The successful candidates will have excellent ICT skills, have an ability to communicate and build a rapport with volunteers and stakeholders and also possess a high level of administration skills. In addition they will have a friendly open manner, excellent organisation skills and a self starter who enjoys working as apart of a team. Experience of working in the charity and/or sports sector would be would be advantageous

This position is offered on permanent contract and involves working 35 hours per week, 5 from 7 days with some weekend work required. The role is based at Anfield Sports Community Centre, Liverpool however the post holder will also be required to work from other locations across Merseyside from time to time, and be willing to travel within England and Wales.
The role requires satisfactory enhanced DBS checks.
